YOUNG ARTIST CREED

"I AM A YOUNG ARTIST

I am YOUNG but I am not limited by my age, my race, or my up bringing. I can be and do whatever I put my mind to.

I am an ARTIST because I am skilled in the areas of my gift. I continue to strive for excellence through positivity as a professional.

I AM A YOUNG ARTIST"

In addition to developing the talent of each young person the Young Artist Development Program helps to Develop the Following Characteristics

*Responsibility –  each Young Artist will learn that as an artist they have the basic responsibility to perfect their craft. However, beyond that they have the responsibility to uphold a positive image as a role model.

*Confidence – each Young Artist will learn to strive for excellent stage presence which will force them to personify and exude confidence. Knowing the song lyrics, choreography, lines, or putting on a great performance and realizing their ability to command the room will help develop confidence. With confidence, they also develop a sense of pride (not conceit) in its purest and most positive form.

*Passion - each Young Artists will learn to realize the power of their words.  Learning this will give them a sense of passion to be heard and to make a difference amongst their peers and to positively impact the world in some way.

*Respect each Young Artist will see that as an artist, they want people to respect their performance by listening and giving full attention. This will help them realize that it is important to respect others. As a child we all learned this very important golden rule, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Each young artist will learn that in order to respect other you must learn to respect yourself.
