Young Artist Spotlight

Seriah McIntosh

Seriah McIntosh joined the Young Artist Development Program this 2016 - 2017 school year as a 6th grader. Her interest in YADP sparked after seeing the affect it had on her older sister, Destiny Torres, who was in YADP for two years with a focus on singing. She went on to graduated 8th grade in 2016 being accepted to the Celia Cruz High School for performing arts which was a huge inspiration for Seriah.

Seriah joined YADP with her heart set on dancing but soon discovered that she had a greater talent hidden inside of her. Mrs. Jones-Herbert required all young artists to do creative writing pieces as a positive form of creative and emotional expression. It was in those assignments that Seriah discovered that she may love to dance but she is gifted to write! Seriah is the 1st young artist of YADP to ever record a creative writing piece in studio! Seriah's first creative writing piece "Unstoppable" (video below) was amazing but her lastest piece "Rise" (video below) will captivate you and leave you wanting more! We at YADP are proud of the extent of Seriah's growth in such a short period of time. She has been invited to perform for several shows including show out of  state!

We know that Seriah McIntosh has so much to offer the world through her amazing gift of creative writing. Her spoken word performances far exceeds all expectations.

YADP salutes Seriah McIntosh!
